Teeth Whitening Brisbane
How many times have you looked in the mirror and wished your teeth were just a little whiter? A lot of the simple things in life, such as drinking coffee, tea and red wine, will leave our teeth looking tired and duller than we would like.
Our teeth whitening treatments will lighten your teeth up to 12 shades. This can improve your self-confidence and brighten up your smile.
We offer two safe and effective teeth whitening treatments:
- In-chair whitening – whiten your teeth in just over an hour
- At-home whitening – a take-home kit to self-administer over 2 weeks.
Treatment Options
In-Chair Teeth Whitening
For a brighter, whiter smile without the wait, in-chair teeth whitening can be performed in just one appointment. The professional dentist whitening procedure is safe and effective with immediate results.
The in-chair whitening treatment is ideal for anyone looking for immediate whitening results. The procedure is completed in just over one hour. Sensitivity is minimised, although you may experience temporary sensitivity for a few hours after your procedure.
A complimentary home teeth whitening package is also provided. This allows you to boost the whitening effects if you desire, and to maintain the white smile for years to come.
Home Teeth Whitening
Home Teeth Whitening allows you to whiten your teeth at your convenience in a safe, effective, and customised way. We create custom-fitted bleaching trays for your teeth. You are then provided with the professional whitening gel and are instructed in its use. Generally, you will start to see results in about 7 days of the 2-week home teeth whitening program.
What to expect?
Your journey to a stunning whiter smile will begin with a free cosmetic dentistry consultation. During this consultation, you will discuss your goals with our dentists who will then outline a customised plan for your teeth whitening treatment.
Teeth Whitening Before & After
Teeth Whitening FAQs
How does teeth whitening work?
Teeth whitening uses either hydrogen peroxide or carbamide peroxide to bleach the teeth. When this concentration touches surface stains on your teeth, it will remove the stain and brighten your smile. In-chair whitening treatments will use a higher bleaching concentrate with a UV light to activate, while take-home whitening treatments will use a custom-made tray with a whitening gel to apply.
How much does teeth whitening cost?
Teeth whitening costs will depend on the type of teeth whitening procedure you are after. Smiling Dental offers a free consultation in Brisbane across our Windsor and Morningside dental practices. To book, simply contact our team of dental specialists.
How long does teeth whitening last?
While take-home teeth whitening can last up to 6 months, in-chair dental treatments can last up to two years, depending on the level of care taken to preserve the whitening results.
What to eat after teeth whitening?
It’s best to avoid anything that is known to stain your teeth after getting teeth whitening completed. After a teeth whitening procedure, your teeth are actually more susceptible to discolouration during the short recovery period. Avoid coffee, curries, wine, tea, and especially smoking.
